Lower Elementary (Grades 1-3)

Mathematics: In Lower Elementary, our math curriculum focuses on building a strong foundation in basic concepts. Students engage with Arithmetic, including place value, money, time, math facts, and fractions. Lessons are designed to be interactive, using concrete materials to introduce and reinforce concepts. We start with a review each year and adjust instruction based on assessments to support individual learning paces.

Science: The science curriculum for Lower Elementary introduces young learners to foundational topics such as astronomy, botany, and basic physics. Through hands-on activities and simple experiments, students begin to understand the scientific process, including observation and data collection. The goal is to spark curiosity and build a love for science.

Language Arts: Our Language Arts program in Lower Elementary emphasizes early reading and writing skills. Students practice decoding, fluency, and comprehension in reading, while writing instruction covers penmanship, spelling, and basic grammar. Activities are designed to develop sentence and paragraph writing, supporting overall language development.

History and Geography: In History and Geography, Lower Elementary students explore topics like Earth's structure, physical geography, and basic historical concepts. Hands-on materials help them understand early humans, ancient civilizations, and local history in an engaging way.
